My living situation can be summed up like this - I'm housesitting a relatives house who sometimes live here and sometimes go away so I get the place to myself. My girlfriend sometimes lives here too as she's unemployed despite having a PhD among other qualifications.

The house I'm housesitting is in Altrincham which is known as a nice neighbourhood. So when I tell anyone where I live, they automatically think I'm well to do. In reality though I'm out of cash and spending what's left of my student loan which I originally put in an ISA to earn interest on. Self-publishing is expensive because of the equipment as well as supplying all my books on sale-or-return basis.

Other benefits of living here include a parking space, tools to fix my car, and cheap car insurance because of the postcode. So it's all good really. I've got a good lifestyle and things are going ok. It would be nice to see some money coming my way for all the work I've put into writing.
