I'm in Albert Square in Manchester city centre watching the Christmas lights switch-on event. Alex K is also here. On stage singing is X-factor winner Alexandra Burke singing Bad Boys and Hallelujah.
There's an excellent fireworks display.
After the event finishes we go to Athanaeum. Then we go to the casino for sandwiches.
