I'm on a date in Manchester city centre. We go to the Birdcage nightclub where the music is good. My date is the lady I met in Font on Friday 5th June. She's Italian. It's interesting how Europeans dance differently to English. We leave the Birdcage at 11:30pm. The women outnumber men tonight and women often aren't comfortable about this. The Birdcage is good for a dance for an hour and without the weekend warriors you get at other venues.
We go to TV21 in the Northern Quarter. Downstairs it's like the 90's never moved on. Wow! Guys in their late 20's and early 30's dancing to Blur, Oasis, Stone Roses and so on. With a bottle of beer in their hand doing that 90's dance. It's a fun place. No trouble either. This is what 90's clubs were like.
The date goes well. TV21 is a place you can enjoy on a date, lots of couples and a positive upbeat atmosphere.
