Introducing Alex

Alex is the main character and author of Manchester By Night. He used to live in Fallowfield on Manchester and has since moved to Altrincham on the border of Manchester and Cheshire. He's the author of Alex's University Tips - what students need to know to make the most of university.

All Alex wants to do is go out and have a good time around his 10 hour working days. However on his adventures and nights out he always encounters much more - from gangsters to fraudsters, street fights to cliquey people, ladies and girlfriends. Alex uncovers Manchester city centre nightlife first hand.

The flyers and posters across the city promote wonderful clubnights - of being out, around friendly people and having a fun time. The hip-hop and dance music videos show classy club nights of everyone dancing. When Alex goes out he finds something totally different.......
